Why do I need insurance?
The correct insurance will minimise disruption and cost to you and your business should disaster strike: damage to equipment, data or records, theft, injury to staff or clients, prosecutions, tribunals, errors or omissions, for example. You may find insurance is also a requirement of your contracts or regulatory body.
Would I need a bespoke package of insurance?
There are some instances where a more bespoke approach is needed. For example, if you are an accountant or solicitor, then you are particularly exposed due to the advisory role you take in clients’ lives. Similarly, if you are a consultant who works from home, a recruitment consultant, or are a hairdresser or beauty consultant, for example, then there are different types of insurance you should be considering. Additionally, if you are responsible for your office, then you also need to take a look at what kind of insurance your office and its contents require.
